Hello folks, I love today’s daily prompt word! What could possibly be cuter than opening a present full of Christmas cookies to see the tiny bites taken out of them. My sister baked these cookies and decorated them, especially to send to me for Christmas. I was surprised to receive the gift and even more delighted when I opened it.
She had told me they were baking cookies, especially for Great Aunt Nancy, but I thought my sister was just pretending for them, so they could have fun. I had just been out there for a visit a few months before. I had no idea they were actually sending them.
The feature image above is showing exactly how they looked when I opened the container. Oh my gosh! I think a couple of tears rolled down my cheek. I was so touched and even more touched that each grandchild took a bite out of a cookie. Three grandkids, three bites. It made sense, I thought it was intentional. It turns out, it was little Sophia, all on her own who had decided to take bites out of a couple of cookies. It was still wonderful. It gave me my chuckle for a few days, every time I thought about it.
A little taste of home is always wonderful. I love them so much. I love the grandchildren and my sister too! hahahaha. I’m still smiling as I write this. Love to all of you!
